Thank you very much for the trophy!

Dear ECR-partners,

A few weeks ago, the postman delivered our school a parcel from Norway.

We already had a small suspicion about the contents of the parcel, but we still found it very fun and exciting to open it.

Of course, the pupils also enjoyed having their picture taken with their chain reaction trophy.

We would like to thank everyone very much for the very nice cooperation. A very special thanks goes to Jan Erik from Norway who has been leading this project with great enthusiasm for several years now!

We hope everyone enjoyed the project and that the children also learned something from it.

We are already looking forward to the next edition!

Enjoy the last months at school and have a nice summer holiday!

18 countries started this journey. 11 countries stayed on and crossed the finishing line in this fantastic project. You have all done a remarkable job creating all the spectacular chain reactions. Now the votes have been counted.

On Friday 16th of February at 11.00 hrs we will fill in the results in our scoreboard....

It worked better while cameras were off. However, with a bit of extra help and fighting against the clock, we did it! Not bad at all for begginers... ;)

Well here it is! It was a lot of fun, took around 3 days with the students doing all of the work. We had to learn to work together, respect each other, utilize our individual strengths as well as scrape together what we could from home. Almost everything we used came from the students homes and all the ideas came from them as well (although we did watch some older videos to get inspiration beforehand).

We have been focusing on working together, respecting and trusting each other so we found it natural to make a trustfall human chain reaction after our introduction.

Croatia

We come from a small village called Vrpolje. In the center of Vrpolje , hidden from human eyes is the most interesting place , our school. The school is named after the famous sculptor Ivan Mestrović. We are a small school and we have only 299 students and 42 workers , of which are only 28 teachers. We love our school because it constantly discover new things and apply them to the creation of new knowledge . Teachers constantly give us new challenges in order to learn as much as possible . We look forward to the our new challenge and we are sure that we will learn a lot of new things but have fun at the same time.

Lithuania

ŠIAULIAI „JUVENTA“ SCHOOL school doors opened in 1971 in its first generation and in 1999/2000 school year, pupils and teachers chose her a new name: „Juventa“ High School.Our school always was famous of it‘s music. Our school is famous not only for his musical achievements. Our students actively participate in various arts, sports contests and competitions. Serbia

First Belgrade Gymnasium First Belgrade Gymnasium was founded back in 1839. Today, the First Belgrade Gymnasium has thirty-seven classes, 1,050 students divided into natural-mathematical, social-linguistic and classes for students with special abilities for computing and informatics, developed cabinet teaching and modern studies. The gymnasium is characterized by high-quality educational work and teaching staff, engaged pedagogical and psychological service and traditionally exceptional student potential.

Slovenia

Our school lies in Preska, a village not so far away from Slovenia's capital Ljubljana. It consists of two parts: the old and the new one. In the old part we have classrooms for art classes, history and craft, a dining room and a kitchen. We also have a very friendly chef, which will always make you laugh. In the new, bigger part, there are classrooms for Science (Chemistry and Physics), Math, Slovene, English, Music, Biology, Geography and a computer classroom. There are also two gyms and a library with over 14,000 books. Primary school Preska is visited by students from villages Preska, Golo Brdo, Studenčice, Goričane, Sora and Dol. Belgium

Qworzó is an elementary school in a small village called Merksplas which lays about 70 km north of Brussels. We speak Dutch like they do in the Netherlands, since our school is located in Flanders. Since there are a lot of people in Belgium who speak French we also learn French in school. Our school teaches about 400 children aged 3,5 – 12 years. Latvia

Latvia Voorbeeld Pāle Primary School is situated in a small rural village with about 700 inhabitants, in the northern part of Latvia 22 km from the Baltic Sea. There are 70 students (7-16 years old) in the primary school level, 32 children in the preschool group, 19 teachers and 8 technical workers. The school was built in 1936. About 20 students have learning difficulties and some students are at a risk of social exclusion. For that reason we are realizing not only the general education programme, but also the programme for students with the learning difficulties. Every year our students participate in regional Olympiads of school subjects, different projects, sports, music and art competitions, showing good results. Click on the picture and visit us!

CEIP CÉSAR MANRIQUE CABRERA CEIP is a Pre-school and Primary education school located in Lanzarote, the northernmost and easternmost of the Canary Islands. Our educational proposal is articulated in 7 axes: personal harmony, cultural development, respect for nature, sustainable development, art and creation of beauty, “canary traditions” and universality. All of them in connection with the legacy and spirit of the most important artist borned in our island which gives his name to our school. We are immersed in many Programs and Projects which aim to create better educational experiences for learning. Some of them are networks like “School garden”, “Timple (traditional musical instrument) learning” or “AICLE Project”, where the area of Art has been chosen for linguistic immersion. Talking about projects, it is needed to highlight the importance of our “Trail network", awarded with the prize “Initiatives in Heritage Education in the Canary Islands” at regional level. We have designed trails that start and arrive at the school for each educational level, with Activities and proposals for before, during and after the trails, making them a fundamental basis for developing students' competences. The School building was designed in a peculiar way, very close to the typical design of the island houses, what means there is a big distance between classes. All of our pupils and teachers are really excited about participating in The European Chain Reaction this year, and our first challenge will be thinking about how to plan a chain that connects all of us.
